Our NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT has trained staff, centralized oxygen, sophisticated equipments like warmer, phototherapy, servo- controlled incubator, infusion – pumps , ventilator, vital sign monitors & bedside X-Ray.
In last about 2 decades our NICU has successfully treated many babies from most of the villages of KARNAL & from each & every sector of KARNAL. We have succeeded to save up to 700gm ELWB (EXTREMELY LOW WEIGHT BABY).We keep premature babies, babies with neonatal jaundice and babies with different complications at the time of birth.
A good emphases is given to the quality of nursing care in NICU as we understand that good nursing is the backbone of NEONATAL ICU. Whilst the stay at hospital the nursing staff trains the mother about basic newborn care like provision of warmth, maintaining asepsis , proper bathing, scientific way of massage, optimum exposure to sunshine, promotion & proper way of breastfeeding, prevention of possible accidents at home & danger signs.
BABY FRIENDLY BREAST FEEDING POLICY : We promote exclusive breast feeding for about 1st 6 months in every baby. So, our setup is a baby friendly setup.
